Winden Forest (WF) is the easiest and most accessible dungeon in the Winden region. Localized right to the west of Snowbasin Town, it also provides the gateway to the continuation dungeon; Deep Winden Forest. The Pokémon here are mostly unevolved and vary in type, but Winden Forest is mainly Normal- and Ice-type themed. The Pokémon Snover changes the weather to hail upon spawning or initially being on an entered floor, with the Ability Snow Warning, as with Psyduck or Golduck making it clear with Cloud Nine.

Winden Forest Relic
The end of the dungeon is the Winden Forest Relic. It has a Kangaskhan Storage statue and leads to Deep Winden Forest. There's also a sign alerting the player about the water that will cause freeze on Pokémon in Deep Winden Forest:
Explorer Tips: Danger! The water in this forest is really cold! It will freeze you unless you have some form of protection.

Dungeon Objective
The objective of this dungeon is just to complete every floor, get some EXP along the way, and collect some nice items. If you are training Fighting- or Fire-type Pokémon, this is a great place to do so.
Trivia
- Winden Forest used to lead to Crystal Ruins and Crystal Castle.
- On September 14th of 2019, Scatterbug and Vivillon were added to the dungeon, releasing the first pattern other than Meadow; Tundra, with the Scatterbug here evolving into the Tundra pattern of Vivillon.
- Before Vivillon was added, every Pokémon was recruitable in Winden Forest.
