Passive volatile status conditions are not blocked by status protection. Many are exclusive states on oneself after using certain moves.

Autotomize[]

Visual effect of the Autotomize status

Autotomize halves the weight of the user. The move Autotomize also increases movement speed by 1 stage, but is independent of the status. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Aqua Ring[]

Visual effect of the Aqua Ring status

A Pokémon under the effect of Aqua Ring will have their HP restoration from moving increased, and heal 1/30 of their max HP every five steps or when they take a turn. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Burn Out[]

Visual effect of the Burn Out status

A burned out Pokémon loses its Fire typing for two turns. A Pokémon will become burned out from using the move Burn Up.

Charge[]

Visual effect of the Burn Out status

When a Pokémon uses the move Charge, Electric-type moves will have their damage increased by 2x for one turn.

Endure[]

Visual effect of the Follow status

When a Pokémon uses the move Endure, it will be left at 1 HP instead of fainting to moves for one step or until hit three times.

Electrify[]

Visual effect of the Electrify status

A Pokémon hit by the move Electrify will have their Normal-type moves become Electric-type. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Focus Energy[]

Visual effect of the Focus Energy status

When a Pokémon uses the move Focus Energy or an All-Hit Orb All-Hit Orb, its critical hit ratio will be increased by 3x. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Follow[]

Visual effect of the Follow status

When a Pokémon is following an opponent, moves will not affect other targets until it takes three turns. A Pokémon can make others follow it from using the moves Follow Me or Rage Powder, or inflict it on an opponent using the move Spotlight.

Grounded[]

Visual effect of the Grounded status

Grounded Pokémon lose mobility and Ground-type resistance from being Flying-type or the Ability Levitate. Pokémon will become grounded from being hit by the move Smack Down. A Pokémon can become ungrounded from using the moves Magnet Rise, Bounce, and Fly, or being hit by the move Telekinesis or Sky Drop.

Grudge[]

Visual effect of the Grudge status

When a Pokémon has the Grudge status, it will deduct all PP from the move last used on it when it faints. It lasts until the Pokémon is hit twice. A Pokémon obtains the Grudge status from using the move Grudge. A Grudge Trap will also spawn Pokémon with the Grudge status.

Ion Deluge[]

Visual effect of the Ion Deluge status

A Pokémon under the effect of Ion Deluge will have their Normal-type moves become Electric-type. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor. The move Ion Deluge will apply it to all entities in range.

Laser Focus[]

When a Pokémon uses the move Laser Focus, its moves will always result in a critical hit for two turns.

Longtoss[]

The single target moves of a Pokémon with the Longtoss status will have their range increased to 50. This effect will not alter the range visualization of moves. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Magic Coat[]

Visual effect of the Magic Coat status

A Pokémon protected by Magic Coat will rebound status moves back to their attackers unless the attacker has Infiltrator for four turns or hits.

Magnet Rise[]

Visual effect of the Magnet Rise status

When a Pokémon uses the move Magnet Rise it will be lifted above ground, becoming ungrounded and immune to Ground-type moves. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Miracle Eye[]

Visual effect of the Miracle Eye status

When a Pokémon uses the move Miracle Eye, opponents it targets will be exposed. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Nausea[]

Visual effect of the Nausea status

Nauseated Pokémon cannot use edible items. A Pokémon can become nauseated by consuming an Energy Root Energy Root. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Shields[]

Mist[]

Visual effect of the Mist status

Pokémon protected by Mist cannot have their stats lowered by any effects, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 25 times or by Defog. The duration will be doubled to 50 when a Light Clay Light Clay is held by a team member. The move Mist or a Health Orb Health Orb will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Safeguard[]

Visual effect of the Safeguard status

Pokémon protected by Safeguard cannot be inflicted with bad status conditions, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 25 times or hit by the move Defog. The duration will be doubled to 50 when a Light Clay is held by a team member. The move Safeguard or a Health Orb will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Light Screen[]

Pokémon under the effect of Light Screen have incoming damage from special moves reduced by 0.75x, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 25 times, or hit by the move Defog or Brick Break. The duration can be doubled to 50 when a Light Clay is held by a team member. The move Light Screen will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Reflect[]

Visual effect of the Reflect status

Pokémon under the effect of Reflect have incoming damage from physical moves reduced by 0.75x, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 25 times, or hit by the move Defog or Brick Break. The duration will be doubled to 50 when a Light Clay is held by a team member. The move Reflect will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Aurora Veil[]

Pokémon under the effect of Aurora Veil have incoming damage from physical and special moves reduced by 0.75x, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 25 times, or hit by the move Defog or Brick Break. The duration will be doubled to 50 when a Light Clay is held by a team member. The move Aurora Veil will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Lucky Chant[]

If a Pokémon is protected by Lucky Chant, moves cannot land a critical hit against them. It lasts until hit five times. The move Lucky Chant will apply it to the team of the user and allies in range.

Status Guard[]

Visual effect of the Status Guard status

When a Pokémon consumes a Berry that cures a specific non-volatile status condition without being afflicted with the condition, they will be protected from it instead, unless the attacker has Infiltrator. It lasts until hit 10 times.

Substitute[]

Visual effect of the Substitute status

A Pokémon with a Substitute is unaffected by stat drops and bad status conditions. The Substitute takes any damage in place of the Pokémon. A Pokémon obtains a Substitute from using the move Substitute with more than 25% of their max HP.

Protection[]

The moves Feint and Hyperspace Hole bypass and remove these statuses.

Baneful Bunker[]

Visual effect of the Baneful Bunker status

A Pokémon protected by Baneful Bunker will not be affected by any moves or items until it gets hit. If it gets hit by a move that makes contact, the attacker will be poisoned.

Crafty Shield[]

Visual effect of the Crafty Shield status

A Pokémon protected by Crafty Shield will not be affected by any status moves until it gets hit five times.

King's Shield[]

Visual effect of the King's Shield status

A Pokémon protected by King's Shield will not be affected by any non-status moves or items until it gets hit. If it gets hit by a move that makes contact, the attacker will have their Attack stat lowered by 2 stages.

Protect[]

Visual effect of the Protect status

A Pokémon under the effect of Protect will not be affected by any moves or items until it gets hit. The move Shadow Force bypasses this status. A Pokémon can become Protected by using the moves Protect and Detect or an All Protect Orb All Protect Orb.

Quick Guard[]

Visual effect of the Quick Guard status

A Pokémon protected by Quick Guard will not be affected by moves that aren't within 3 tiles or area of effect moves until hit twice.

Spiky Shield[]

Visual effect of the Spiky Shield status

A Pokémon protected Spiky Shield will not be affected by any moves or items until it gets hit. If it gets hit by a move that makes contact, the attacker loses 1/8 of their max HP.

Wide Guard[]

Visual effect of the Wide Guard status

A Pokémon protected by Wide Guard will not be affected by area of effect moves until hit twice.

Rage[]

Visual effect of the Rage status

An enraged Pokémon will have its Attack stat increased by 1 stage every time it gets hit by a damage-dealing move for 10 steps.

Rampage[]

Visual effect of the Rampage status

A Pokémon starts rampaging after using the move Outrage, Thrash, or Petal Dance. It lasts for 2-5 turns, using the move again each turn (without consuming PP) and confusing the user when it ends.

Rebounds[]

These statuses rebound damage.

Bide[]

Visual effect of the Bide status

A Pokémon that's used Bide will store energy and be unable to move until it takes a turn, then dealing double the damage it took while it was storing energy to an opponent in front of it.

Counter[]

Visual effect of the Counter status

A Pokémon with Counter up will return double the damage it takes from a physical move to the attacker, if it doesn't faint by it. It lasts for one turn or when hit once.

Destiny Bond[]

A Pokémon with the Destiny Bond status will return damage it takes from a physical or special move to the attacker, if it doesn't faint by it. It lasts for one step or until hit three times.

Mirror Coat[]

Visual effect of the Mirror Coat status

A Pokémon with Mirror Coat up will return double the damage it takes from a special move to the attacker, if it doesn't faint by it. It lasts for one turn or when hit once.

Metal Burst[]

Visual effect of the Metal Burst status

A Pokémon with Metal Burst up will return 1.5x the damage it takes from a physical or special move to all entities within 4 tiles, if it doesn't faint by it. It lasts for one turn or when hit once.

Pierce[]

Visual effect of the Pierce status

The single target line of sight moves of a Pokémon with the Pierce status will instead affect all targets within the range. This effect will not alter the range visualization of moves. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor. A Pokémon obtains the Pierce status from holding a Pierce Band Pierce Band or using a Pierce Orb Pierce Orb.

Rolling[]

Visual effect of the Rolling status

A Pokémon starts rolling after using the move Rollout or Ice Ball. It lasts for four turns, using the move again each turn (without consuming PP) with doubled power until it misses.

Roost[]

Visual effect of the Roost status

When a Pokémon uses the move Roost, it loses its Flying typing for one step and turn.

Sleepless[]

Visual effect of the Sleepless status

When a Pokémon uses the move Uproar, any Pokémon within range other than the user will become sleepless, and be unable to sleep. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Snatch[]

Visual effect of the Snatch status

When a Pokémon uses the move Snatch, it will have status moves used by opponents within 10 tiles redirected to them and gain their effect. It lasts for one turn.

Sure Shot[]

Visual effect of the Sure Shot status

The moves of a Pokémon that has taken aim and has a sure shot will never miss for three turns. A Pokémon can have a sure shot from using the moves Lock-On and Mind Reader. An All-Aim Orb All-Aim Orb will also give a sure shot to the user and allies within 8 tiles.

Telekinesis[]

Visual effect of the Telekinesis status

Pokémon hit by the move Telekinesis will be lifted above ground for five turns, becoming ungrounded and immune to Ground-type moves, but moves against it will also never miss.

Trapped[]

Trapped Pokémon will be unable to move or act for three turns, losing 1/16 of their HP each turn. This effect is caused by moves such as Sand Tomb, Whirlpool, Fire Spin, Infestation, etc. If a Pokémon is holding a Shed Shell Shed Shell, has the Ability Run Away or is a Ghost-type, it cannot be trapped.

Type Boost[]

Visual effect of the Type Boost status

A Pokémon that uses a diamond will have damage dealt by moves of the specified type increased by 1.5x. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Type Reduce[]

A Pokémon that eats one of the Berries that reduce damage received from certain types will have incoming damage from moves of the specified type reduced by 0.25x. It lasts for the duration the Pokémon is on a floor.

Terrain[]

Electric Terrain[]

Visual effect of the Electric Terrain status

Pokémon under the effect of Electric Terrain have the power of their Electric-type moves increased by 1.3x and cannot be put to sleep. Camouflage will change the user's type to Electric, Secret Power turns into an Electric-type move with a 30% chance of inflicting paralysis, and Nature Power becomes Thunderbolt. The move Rising Voltage has its power doubled.

It lasts until hit five times. The move Electric Terrain will apply it to all entities and player teams in range.

Grassy Terrain[]

Visual effect of the Grassy Terrain status

Pokémon under the effect of Grassy Terrain have the power of their Grass-type moves increased by 1.3x, and restore 1/16 of their Pokémon max HP every 10 steps. Camouflage will change the user's type to Grass, Secret Power turns into a Grass-type move with a 30% chance of inflicting sleep, and Nature Power becomes Energy Ball. The moves moves Dig, Earthquake and Magnitude have their power halved against Pokémon in Grassy Terrain. The move Floral Healing restores 100% HP instead of 50%.

It lasts until hit five times. The move Grassy Terrain will apply it to all entities and player teams in range.

Misty Terrain[]

Visual effect of the Misty Terrain status

Pokémon under the effect of Misty Terrain cannot be inflicted with non-volatile status conditions, and cannot be put to sleep or confused. Camouflage will change the user's type to Fairy, Secret Power turns into a Fairy-type move with a 30% chance of lowering Special Attack, and Nature Power becomes Moonblast. Dragon-type moves have their power halved against Pokémon in Misty Terrain.

It lasts until hit five times. The move Misty Terrain will apply it to all entities and player teams in range.

Psychic Terrain[]

Visual effect of the Psychic Terrain status

Pokémon under the effect of Psychic Terrain have the power of their Psychic-type moves increased by 1.3x, and are protected from being hit from moves that are further then 4 tiles or are not line of sight. Camouflage will change the user's type to Psychic, Secret Power turns into a Psychic-type move with a 30% chance of lowering Speed, and Nature Power becomes Psychic. The move Expanding Force has its range increased from 2 tiles to 8.

It lasts until hit five times. The move Psychic Terrain will apply it to all entities and player teams in range.

Wish[]

Visual effect of the Wish status

A Pokémon that's been wished upon via using the move Wish or Wish being used on it will heal 1/2 of its max HP after being hit twice.
