Sour Root Cave, as in PMU 6, was the first dungeon to provide a HM for the player to have and the hardest dungeon that is completely non-random. It contained HM Cut, which allows the player to cut down small trees, giving access to hidden areas across the regions. It was filled with all sorts of Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon.

Dungeon Objective[]
The dungeon, like all others, requires you to climb the dungeon floors and beat the boss for completion. However, when you get far enough into the dungeon, you will reach a plant blocking the way, and you have to go up to face the Weepinbell to get cut.
After you gain the HM Cut and teach it to a Pokémon, you go left and face off with the Ivysaur.
