Snowbasin Town

Snowbasin Town, formerly named Nivenath Outpost, is the town in Winden. It was the second town introduced to PMU 7 as Winden was the second region introduced. Snowbasin Town is located north of Winden Pass, which must be beaten to access Winden for the first time.

Northwest of Snowbasin Town, before Winden Forest, there is a Braviary NPC. This NPC can take the player to and from Frigid Heights for 500 Poké.

Service NPCs are all in buildings in Snowbasin Town due to the cold weather and atmosphere. Its main attractions include the Winden Sauna and the mayor's office.

Kangaskhan Storage

Snowbasin Town's Kangaskhan Storage is the left-most building, located next to the Snowbasin Inn.

Chimecho Assembly

Snowbasin Town's Chimecho Assembly is below the Electivire Link Shop, and left of the Snowbasin Inn.

Joy's Winden Hut

Joy is a Blissey who will incubate Mystery Eggs for players so that they hatch only within a few steps, at 1,000 Poké per egg. Her Winden hut is northwest of Snowbasin Town.

Electivire Link Shop

The Electivire Link Shop is where move relearning through Mushrooms takes place. In Snowbasin Town, it's found south of the Kecleon Shop.

Kecleon Shop

Snowbasin Inn

Snowbasin Inn is the rest stop for Snowbasin Town. Players can set their spawn point by stepping onto one of the healing beds or using the command /sethouse.

Town Hall

The town hall is north of Snowbasin Town. Inside you can find a housing center, the mayor's office, courthouse, sauna, and rooftop. The Snowbasin town hall does not have a Wigglytuff for making or managing a guild.

On the first entry, the player is approached by the mayor of Winden.

• Winden Mayor: Hoo-hoo! Greetings, and a warm welcome to Winden Town Hall! I haven't seen your face before, I reckon?
• Winden Mayor: It's always great to see new adventurers coming to Winden. Where is it then, that you came from?

• Winden Mayor: Exbel, you say? Fascinating, hoo-hoo! That must mean you have traversed all the way through the Winden Pass.
• Winden Mayor: Admirable, truly admirable, young one!
• Winden Mayor: Would you allow me to introduce myself? I am the Mayor of Winden. My job is to be there for the townspeople, and make sure everything is going as intended here.
• Winden Mayor: You came in at just the right moment. You see...
• (The mayor makes a gesturing motion towards the entrance up ahead to the right.)
• Winden Mayor: Over there is the Winden Sauna. It's the main attraction of our little town, and it's in... a bit of a predicament.
• Winden Mayor: I haven't been fully informed on the matter yet, so the Sauna Owner could provide the necessary details.
• Winden Mayor: Would you so kindly speak to him for me please? He can be found just downstairs.
• Winden Mayor: If you follow me, I'll show you the entrance.
• Winden Mayor: My apologies for imposing such a matter so swiftly, but we need the help, and a capable adventurer like you could undoubtedly manage.

The mayor's office includes a few NPCs, as well as the service NPCs Xatu and Togetic.

Winden Courthouse

Winden has a courthouse, though this room has no use and is merely superficial. Staff have their own joke command that can send a player to this map.

Winden Sauna

The main entrance northeast of Snowbasin Town has Lickilicky's cleaning service. Using the ladder in the top room or the town hall brings you to the bottom floor of the sauna, which has the entrance to the dungeon Sauna Cavern. The top right pool of water acts as a healing spot.

When the player first enters, the sauna owner would be heard talking about the issue within the sauna, and approaches the player in need of help.

• Sauna Owner: Ah, I'm so glad you've enjoyed your time here, Ursaring. Your next visit will unfortunately have to wait a bit, since we're dealing with this...
• Ursaring: Groaaar... I see. Thanks for letting me know. Your den's real good. See ya next time.
• Sauna Owner: Welcome, welcome. Please allow yourself to relax and destress in the warmth of this tranquil place.
• Sauna Owner: At least, that's what I would normally say...

(the Sauna Owner sighs, visibly at the end of his wits.)

• [Player Name]: (That doesn't sound good. I wonder what has happened here?)
• Sauna Owner: I don't know how much the Mayor has told you, but the sauna is currently in a real fix.
• Sauna Owner: There have been earth tremors in this area for the past few days. The last one was a real doozy, shaking the entire sauna and even causing a hole to open up in the ground.
• Sauna Owner: Come with me. If you look just ahead here, you can see it...
• [Player Name]: (...!)
• Sauna Owner: Yup, that's the one. However, such tremors are not natural to this area...
• Sauna Owner: That's why I suspect the involvement of other Pokémon, engaging in foul play. There has to be somebody behind this...
• Sauna Owner: I wish I could go and investigate personally, but as a fire type, I'm not exactly cut out for a showdown with Water or Ground types.
• Sauna Owner: Would you please go and take a look for me? I would be so very thankful. These hotsprings are essential for the wellbeing of the inhabitants.
• Sauna Owner: I will keep watch over this place and make sure everybody still in here is safe. Hopefully, I can get some rest tonight...
• [Player Name]: (Here goes nothing...)

Sauna Owner: Before beating Sauna Cavern Welcome to my relaxing sauna, feel free to relax in its warmth...Please, do hurry through. We need your assistance with the problem underground. After beating Sauna Cavern I'm so grateful for all that you've done underground. I've come to understand the Pokemon that reside in the underground tunnels beneath our sauna. Their presence is truly invaluable, as they help maintain the environment and indirectly benefit us... It's a shame Coalossal has a bad image of us. We should work on our relations. For now though, dear friend, welcome to my relaxing sauna. Feel free to relax in its warmth...
Spritz: Ow! To think this nice, relaxing sauna would be the entrance to such a dangerous dungeon!
Sealy: The tundra North of here is prone to thin ice and freezing water. Be careful out there.
Blue: You see that hole over there? Apparently it leads to a cave that goes down to the source of this sauna's heat.

Winden View

The rooftop of the town hall, dubbed the "Winden View", features a supposed view of Winden, with several binoculars for better sightseeing. Moving to any of these gives the message "You look into the lens and see Winden Taiga off in the distance.".

Trivia

Togetic's Refuge

• Nivenath Outpost, Snowbasin's former name, exists as a location found southwest of Snowbasin that is near the burrow that players can summon an Alolan Vulpix in.
• Togetic's Refuge was a temporary area added sometime in September of 2020 top right of the town hall. It was the only area where Togetic was available for use and requires only one Pokémon in the team to enter.
• Snowbasin Town received visual and thematic makeover on September 13th 2021 by Syni.
