Service NPCs are NPCs who offer a service to players, for free or for something else in exchange. These NPCs are usually found in towns or bazaars.
Xatu[]
Xatu runs a box-opening service offered at 150 
Poké per box. It is one of the most used services as boxes are very common in dungeons and dropped by enemy Pokémon occasionally. Boxes dropped by Pokémon always contain family items. Boxes can also be found at the end of dungeons or in much-rarer Secret Rooms. Boxes found from dungeons themselves have varied items, and are listed in their dungeon pages. To use this service, players simply walk up to Xatu. Xatu is found in the bazaars of all regions, Frigid Heights, Snowbasin's town hall, and Silversail Village.
Togekiss[]
If a player obtains a Mystery Egg but does not want it, they can exchange it to Togekiss. Eggs will be traded to Togekiss for a Nifty Box each, which can then be opened at Xatu Appraisal. These Nifty Boxes contain diamonds and Berries that reduce damage taken from types. To use this service, the player has to press 
in front Togekiss with an egg in their bag. Togekiss is found in the bazaars of Exbel and Tanren.
Lickilicky[]
Because of Sticky and Grimy Traps and items available in dungeons, Lickilicky's service was created to clean them. Lickilicky cleans sticky, unusable and grimy items in the inventory for free. Walking in front of Lickilicky shows a prompt asking if the player wants their items cleaned. Lickilicky is found in the bazaars of all regions, Frigid Heights, and Winden Sauna.
Ripley[]
Ripley is a Sneasel that offers the player to slice one of their 
Big Mushrooms into three regular 
Mushrooms in exchange of 500 Poké. To use Ripley's service, the player needs to press in front of him with at least one Big Mushroom and 500 Poké. Ripley is found only in Grassroot Town's bazaar.
Wigglytuff[]

Wigglytuff provides management for one's guild, or the ability to create one. Members and their last login can be seen, as well as be kicked or be added by admins or founders of the guild. Wigglytuff is found in the housing center of all regions' main town.
Joy[]
Joy is a Blissey who will instantly incubate eggs, making them hatch in little steps, for 1,000 Poké per egg. You must have the exact amount of Poké needed or more. Joy has a hut located in the main town of all regions. These huts additionally have healing beds in them.
Croagunk[]

Croagunk runs a facility dubbed the Swap Shop, which lets players swap family items for 3-starred ones through the use of either five random ones or the set of 1- and 2-starred items for the specified Pokémon. Croagunk's Swap Shop can be found at Delite Plaza in Grassroot Town.
Lawrence[]
Lawrence is a Kricketune that can change the trim of the player's Furfrou for 2,500 Poké. The trim will stay permanently until otherwise changed again.
Merlin[]

Merlin is an Alakazam that resides east in the Southeastern Village. Provided the player is Master Rank and has the items, he will fuse a 
Heart Slate with a 
Mystery Part for 200,000 Poké, or 100,000 Poké after the first fusion.
Kangaskhan[]

Kangaskhan runs the Kangaskhan Storage. Players can store items with a limited amount of storage space which can be increased by having a higher Explorer Rank.
Chimecho[]

Chimecho runs Chimecho Assembly. It contains all of a player's recruited Pokémon, and will hold any new ones recruited or hatched from eggs.
Shops[]

There are several shops run by Kecleon and different NPCs where one can buy items for various currencies, and sell items for Poké.
Tutors[]
- Main article: Tutors
Tutors are NPCs that can teach your Pokémon moves. Electivire will teach past moves for a Mushroom. Loomy the Breloom will teach past moves of pre-evolutions for a Big Mushroom. Togetic will give a list of five egg moves for one to be picked and learned for a Heart Scale. Bronzong will teach a random BP tutor move from Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for shards.
Transportation[]
Some NPCs offer fast transportation to somewhere else as a service.
Primrose[]
- Main article: Winden § Primrose's Hut
Primrose can throw players in Winden back to Exbel if they do not have the HMs Fly or Rock Smash.
Braviary[]
Braviary is found northwest of Snowbasin Town, and southwest of Frigid Heights. It can take the player between the two places for 500 Poké.
Lapras Ferry[]
Lapras is found east of both Greenport Town and Silversail Village of Archford. It can take the player between the two places.
Trivia[]
- Lickilicky is a service from Explorers of Sky's Secret Bazaars. In PMU items will not unsticky upon leaving dungeons, nor can Orbs be used outside of them, making it necessary to have Lickilicky as a service outside of dungeons.
- Joy's service used to cost 4,000 Poké per egg.
