Gritty Burrow (Gritty, GB) is a dungeon located east in Exbel; southeast of Friendship Forest and north of Ash Forest. The move Rock Smash is required to enter. The dungeon has 15 floors, but instead of exiting the dungeon at the last floor, the player must traverse back to Floor 1, starting at 15.

The dungeon has darkness that increases every floor, and subsequently decreases once the player goes back up the floors.
On Floor 10 when ascending only is a sealed chamber.

Boss
The player surfaces to the entrance of the dungeon again, and is approached by a Linoone, Zangoose, and Diggersby. Together they inhabit and also protect the Gritty Burrow, and engage in battle to repel the player who they deem an intruder.

- Linoone: Flail, Pin Missile, Sand Attack, Slash
- Zangoose: Crush Claw, False Swipe, Hone Claws, Slash

- Linoone: You're strong...
- Zangoose: Very strong... You put up a good fight against all of us. Even my sharp claws couldn't handle your strength... Grfff...
- Diggersby: Wohoho! Ye put up a gran' show, perhaps we cud even be denmates! Wohoho!
- Linoone: This is my home... I treasure this place. We get protective when we see unknown Pokémon digging around in here.
- Linoone: You don't seem all that bad though...
- Zangoose: Anyway, enough blabbering. Let's get going, we have work to do.
- Diggersby: Wohoho, yet right. Dig, dig, burrow, dig...
- Linoone: ...I used to be as tough as you, you know... But I've gotten a little older. Ten years ago, I bet I could've put up a good fight against you!
- Linoone: Now then, I apologize for the impulsive reaction. The exit is up there. Maybe we'll meet each other again.

Dungeon Objective
As with many dungeons, the objective is to complete the dungeon and beat the boss. Players additionally visit the dungeon to obtain a Gray Silk.
Rhyhorn, Smeargle, and Munchlax are exclusive Pokémon found in Gritty Burrow.
Tips
- Bring X-Ray Specs to see through the darkness. This item is especially useful if players are hunting for eggs or recruits.

- Gritty Burrow was created by Syni.
- Gritty Burrow is the revamped version of Gritty Hollow.
- Secret Rooms used to appear while ascending but took the player back down a floor. The Secret Rooms were moved to the descending floors to prevent this from happening.
- Cut used to be required instead of Rock Smash.
